Roborock S8 Robot Vacuum Cleaner
【6000Pa Suction】The S8 has greater suction power than any previous Roborock robot vacuum, capable of generating up to 6000Pa. This is more than twice the performance of the Roborock S7. It can quickly remove dirt, hair, dust, etc., from hard floors and carpets.
【DuoRoller Brush】The Roborock S8 robot vacuum with mopping function features dual rubber main brushes, which effectively remove dirt and small dust particles, reducing hair tangling and sweeping. Keep your home cleaner than ever before.
【Upgraded Mopping System】The Roborock S8 mopping robot vacuum with sonic mopping function can scrub up to 3,000 times per minute, lifting the mop to 5 millimeters to remove dry stains more deeply.
【Smart Intelligence】Equipped with Texture Light 3D obstacle detection—utilizing patterns projected onto the scene and deforming patterns to accurately detect obstacles, making the S8 robot vacuum think smarter and work faster and easier than ever before.
【Precision Navigation System】The precision navigation system creates detailed maps to find the best routes for faster cleaning. The S8 robot vacuum can automatically detect areas prone to getting stuck and draw invisible walls in the Roborock app to set no-go zones.
【Custom Programs】Custom cleaning programs allow the robot vacuum to set regular or on-demand cleaning programs for specific areas in the house. When cleaning is complete or the battery is low, it automatically returns to the charging dock.

Like me, you're probably asking yourself the question: should I change my Roborock S7 for this new Roborock S8?
The answer is clear and unambiguous:
No, keep your money and your S7, because this new device doesn't do anything better, even if on paper its features seem superior.
In practice, you won't notice any difference at all.
The supposed doubling of suction power, and the doubling of the rotating brush, is just a marketing ploy. The work won't be any better.
And what can I say about the front detection camera, which I think is a totally useless gimmick?
The S7 was already top-notch, and this one doesn't stand out enough to justify its purchase.
Roborock excels in the field of cleaning robots, but there comes a point when it's hard to beat.
This company seems to have made the choice of many large, successful companies by offering a new product every year that isn't a new product at all.
I'm very disappointed because this is the fourth generation of Roborock that I've bought, and the first was still under the Xiaomi brand before the company became Roborock.

Running the Roborock S8 around the house every day is a lot of fun for me as a technology enthusiast with a demand for quality - especially with this app! Apart from certain points, I'm very impressed with the S8 - it's not perfect, but in my opinion it's one of the best overall packages for a good household helper.
Advantages:
✔ When it came to vacuuming, I didn't notice any crumbs, dust or anything else left behind. With its 6,000 Pa at maximum (level 4), it really packs a punch in terms of suction, and I measured 70 dB at a distance of 1 m. In the quietest mode, it's 55 dB, which is within reasonable limits overall.
✔ Long hair is easily sucked up and most of it gets caught in the Duo rubber brush. What's really ingenious is that you simply remove one or both rollers, pull out a kind of pin on the side, remove the hair and you're done! You don't need to do this after every pass, but it helps immensely to clean the robot hoover and extend its service life.
When navigating, it makes a very sophisticated impression, above all it is very fast and maneuverable (zig-zag basically like the logo on the robot). It can even drive at several speeds. Obstacles on the floor such as remote controls
