Roborock Q8 Max+ Robot Vacuum Cleaner
Reactive Obstacle Avoidance System: Compared to the Q7 Max series, the roborock Q8 Max series robot vacuum has improved obstacle avoidance algorithms, which can measure the distance to obstacles with the help of sensors. This allows the roborock Q8 Max+ robot vacuum to detect and avoid obstacles in front from a far distance during operation, providing a worry-free cleaning experience.
Dual Brush and VibraRise Mopping System: The roborock Q8 Max+ is equipped with the all-new DuoRoller dual brush, which effectively removes dirt, minimizes fading, and effortlessly cleans hair to improve suction. Additionally, the VibraRise mopping system of the Roborock Q8 Max+ robot vacuum maintains excellent stability, with mopping pressure exceeding 6N and high-speed mopping at 3000 times per minute, allowing you to experience the power of sonic vibration technology.
Laser Navigation System and Multi-Floor Mapping System: The Precision PreciSense LiDAR navigation system of the Q8 Max+ robot vacuum scans and creates detailed maps to find the best cleaning routes, allowing for the creation of detailed maps of your home (displayed as 3D maps in the app). Moreover, the roborock Q8 Max+ multi-floor mapping system can automatically detect different floors of the house and support cleaning of up to four floors.
Automatic Base Emptying: After the roborock Q8 Max+ vacuum cleaner completes cleaning, it automatically returns to the base station, emptying dust and dirt into a 2.5-liter bag, which lasts up to 7 weeks without replacement.
Application Voice Control: The roborock Q8 Max+ supports compatible Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Siri shortcuts, allowing you to control your S8 robot vacuum through voice commands.
Off-Peak Charging: You can set non-peak charging windows for the roborock Q8 Max+ to save on electricity costs during peak hours.
We had a Rowenta robot vacuum before, but this one is way better. We use it without the wiper pass as we have a lot of carpets in the apartment. The rubber brushes also prevent hair from getting caught. Only the suction is a bit loud. We always let it run through the apartment when we are out of the house, so it doesn't bother us. It reliably vacuums up everything, even dog hair from carpets.
We have an Australian Shepherd and accordingly there is dog hair EVERYWHERE & ALWAYS in the apartment. This makes many a vacuum cleaner quickly capitulate... but not the Roborock. The suction power is really good. It also gets dog hair from carpets (short pile). Of course, hair regularly collects on the rollers etc. However, the Roborock is very easy to "disassemble" and clean without tools. We have been using it for a few weeks now and are still very impressed.
The suction station also works very well and looks good. For the price of under €500, I really couldn't wish for anything better.
We have an S5 that is getting on in years. Now we wanted something with a suction station and maybe also be good at mopping.
At first I got stuck with the Bootslab 360, but after just a few weeks it was probably overwhelmed by our dog household. Then came the Dreame, which is primarily a mopping robot with a cleaning station. It was returned in no time at all. I can't recommend it for any pet household. And the mopping performance wasn't great either.
Then I opted for Roborock again, this time the Q8 Max, and I'm completely in love with it 😍 It rummages around and does a good job. Mopping is ok but in everything else it just scores points. We run it via the Xiaomi app because the S5 also runs via it. Navigation and maps all great. Very clear purchase recommendation 👌👌

We bought a robot vacuum cleaner because 2 cats sometimes lose a lot of hair, especially when changing their fur.
We are super happy with the robot vacuum. It vacuums up virtually everything in its path and can be used for wet vacuuming (accessories are included)
There is a classic bumper at the front as an obstacle detector, and it also recognizes obstacles independently by means of a cam and a ki.
In addition, it can "extend" a little by extending the pick-up rollers so that small obstacles can simply be driven over.
The app is very user-friendly and intuitive.
During the initial setup, the robot scans the entire area and simultaneously creates a 2D map of the rooms. It also automatically recognizes that it is in another room and separates them. It also automatically recognizes large obstacles and regards them as walls for future vacuuming work. (A sofa or table, for example)
The rooms can be named in the app so that you can send it specifically to the kitchen, for example. Furthermore, you can create imaginary walls to set areas that it is not allowed to enter.
The vacuum robot needs about 1m per square meter, but this can be accelerated by the "turbo mode". (But then it gets much louder)
Roborock Q8 Max is without a doubt one of the best home appliances I have ever bought. Since I have been using this robot vacuum cleaner on a daily basis, my home is much cleaner and the dust has been noticeably reduced. What I particularly like is the high suction power of 5500 Pa and the DuoRoller brush, which enables thorough cleaning along the baseboards.
The accompanying app is another highlight: it is very user-friendly and allows me to clean specific rooms or areas. I can create daily cleaning schedules or program the robot to clean the house before I get home from work. It's just fantastic to come home to a clean home after a long day at work.
The no-go zones function and the ability to define precise cleaning paths using the 3D drawing are incredibly useful. The different cleaning levels also make it flexible for different floor types. I can recommend this smart vacuum cleaner to anyone looking for an efficient and stress-free household cleaning solution. The Roborock Q8 Max has definitely made my life easier!
